Bought it to play monster hunter 3/other wii games on my computer monitor. I had the black screen thing, but to be honest it never once bothered me in over 120 hours of playing an action-oriented game. Were I playing something that was real time-oriented like Guitar Hero, I probably would have been frustrated. My gut tells me that the black screen issue is probably a straightforward A/V fix, but I haven't had time to figure it out.

I like being able to have every thing hooked up to the same screen. Set up was fairly stright forward. I have had no problems with the screen blacking out, and not sure what the problem is for other users.

Video cuts out for five seconds every few minutes. Rather annoying when playing an intense game.

The device works as described. Initial setup was troublesome, but that was due to not reading the instructions first. Using the cable for my Wii. Sometimes the screen goes black, requiring me to pause the game. Any feedback on that would be nice.
